Description

We're celebrating 35 years of providing mental health services to Hawai'i's diverse communities, and we're looking for volunteer board members who are passionate about mental health and who want to gain leadership and executive experience -- and help create an exceptional event!

We're especially looking for professionals with a flair for fundraising, legal expertise, or experience building business relationships.

The Board's main responsibilities are strategic planning, financial oversight, hiring/managing the executive director, and fundraising. The board meets 6-7 times per year on the third Tuesday of every other month at 4 pm HST by Zoom or in person, and participates in an annual Board Retreat in January. The executive committee meetings on the third Tuesday every other month at 4 pm HST by Zoom and as needed.

Since 1989, Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i has been providing professional and accessible mental health counseling that incorporates the spiritual traditions of individuals, families, and communities in Hawai'i, regardless of their ability to pay.

Help us offer hope and healing to Hawaii’s vulnerable communities. Call us at 808-545-2740 or send your resume/CV and a statement of interest to info@samaritanhawaii.org. We'll contact you to set a phone or Zoom meeting to answer your questions and find out Board service is a good fit for you!
