Who We Are
What We Do
TVA is dedicated to empowering the blind and visually impaired BVI community on Oʻahu through inclusive outdoor activities, education, and connection. We address the challenges of isolation, limited access to recreational opportunities, and the need for greater community engagement by offering free, structured events designed specifically for BVI participants. From guided hikes and cultural experiences to adaptive sports and hands-on workshops, TVA creates spaces where individuals can build confidence, form meaningful connections, and experience the world in a way that is accessible, inclusive, and empowering. Our trained volunteers provide 1:1 support to ensure a safe, engaging, and fully immersive experience for all participants. We believe that blindness is not a barrier to adventure, independence, or personal growth. By fostering a supportive and inclusive community, TVA is breaking down barriers and illuminating new possibilities for the BVI community in Hawaiʻi.
