Description

Aloha.

Project Hawai'i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers. Our teen mentoring summer camp is open free of charge to homeless and poverty stricken keiki. Since our agency is run by public support, fundraising events like these are vital to the success of our programs.

We are hosting a Mother's Day Fundraiser at the Kapolei Walmart on May 11th-Saturday from 9A-6P. We will be selling various cookie bouquets in mugs, to red velvet cakes in ceramic bowls.  All the funds raised will go towards the items needed for our campers, such as the sleeping bags, bathing suits, hygiene products, etc.

We are seeking volunteers that would be able to help the customers with their gift choices and inform them about our program and its mission. Typically people will have simple questions, where is the camp, who are the campers, where do we find these homeless keiki, etc. Some will ask even more in depth questions, and that is why we need help...

We are typically very busy and it is high pased, as people will be choosing their items and wishing to make donations. So, if you are energentic and love working with the public, outgoing, etc. this is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of these homeless children.

We have several different shifts to choose from and limited to two helpers per shift.

9A-11A, 11A-1P, 1P-3P, and 3-5P

If you wish to volunteer more than 2 hours, we are also happy to have you. Just trying to make it simple for those who have a few hours to give.

To sign up, please email your contact information and what shift(s) you'd like to help at, as well as if you are going to bring someone or coming individually.
