Aloha,
Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a volunteer staffed nonprofit that cares for the homeless keiki throughout the year. On the island of Big Island we are hosting several outreach and Hunger and Homeless Awareness events to reach the homeless children across the island. We are seeking groups, clubs, or families, individuals who would like to help with the hygiene bags for each family.
This volunteer opportunity is for KEAAU ONLY on BIG ISLAND.

Volunteer duties.

  1. Purchase or Collect Hygiene products (see list below)
  2. Fill Hygiene bags for the families in a gallon size baggie or other larger bag
  3. Deliver the supply bags to the volunteer coordinator at the event in Kea'au (locations will be stated when volunteer is approved)
LIST OF ITEMS for EACH BAG. Volunteer must sign up for a min. of 5 bags.
PLEASE NOTE: Everything needs to be FULL SIZE. We are striving to keep our beaches, our oceans and landfills as clean as possible. We do NOT give out hotel or sample size items
  1. Full size only Shampoo and Conditioner (any brand)
  2. 4 toothbrushes (I believe Walmart has packages of 5 for $2.)
  3. Toothpaste (any brand)
  4. Bar of Soap or Hand Pump soap
  5. Wash Cloth
  6. Hair Brush

PLEASE NOTE: The volunteer coordinator for this event is out of the country until the 5th of Nov. and will connect and confirm with you upon return. Please feel free to start your collection and be prepared to donate.
