Description

Sheltering: Volunteers help support emergency shelters by staffing different areas, including reception, registration, dormitory, feeding, information collection and by completing other vital tasks. Base level training is 3.5 hours, we require extended training for regular local response totaling 6 hours.

Willing to work 5 shifts in a 2week period if shelters are open that long (4, 6, 8, 12 hr options available)
 
Hurricane Shelter Manager
18yrs +
Speaks English
Willing to work 5 shifts in a 2-week period if shelters are open that long (4, 6, 8, 12 hr options available)
2+yrs experience managing a team of 5 or more people
 
Shelter Health Services or Mental Health services Worker
18yrs +
Speaks English
Willing to work 5 shifts in a 2-week period if shelters are open that long (4, 6, 8, 12 hr options available)
Current unencumbered license in Hawaii: Will need to provide license number
 
Shelter Health Service, or Mental Health Services- Manager
18yrs +
Speaks English
Willing to work 5 shifts in a 2week period (4, 6, 8, 12 hr options available)
2+yrs experience managing a team of 5 or more people
Current unencumbered license in Hawaii: Will need to provide license number
 
For deployments:
All of the above plus willing to deploy for at least two weeks to outer islands or mainland. If there is a large-scale disaster response, you may only be asked to complete the initial 3.5 hour training.

Get Connected Icon Must be comfortable living in a disaster situation. This may mean lving in a hotel, or living and working in a disaster shelter as needed.
