Homeless Children living in crisis


Aloha,
Project Hawai'i, Inc is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers and solely supported by public donations.

Our agency is providing a Halloween Costume Workshop Luncheon and "Not so Typical Trick -or-Treat parade for the homeless unsheltered children. This allows them to have the self-esteem and "acceptance" at school when Halloween comes around. Studies show that when children are not included in school activities their drop out rate increases by 98% and furthermore 50% of these children will end up in prison. So, our goals at Project Hawai'i, Inc is to help these children have as much as a normal life when it comes to the daily functions at school. This event is just one of the little things that goes forgotten when thinking of homeless children.

I am seeking THREE different types of volunteers for this event!

1. someone who can coordinate with Safeway or Longs Drugs for the Oct. 20th from 10:45a-2:30p to sit a small table with a sign to collect costumes and healthy snacks

2. Those who can host a collection of costume parts and outfits from friends and neighbors and deliver to this event between said hours (we might not be at the stores but on the intersections with signs depending on our support sign ups)

3. Volunteers who can come and make a difference for 3 hours 11a-2p and help us with the fundraising efforts. Holding awareness signs and collecting donations from the public.
