Description

For the Japanese community, New Years is the most important of all cultural holidays when millions of people visit a shrine on New Years day.

Even in Hawaii, thousands come to embrace the spirit of the Japanese, where you can be blessed for the new year, get your head bitten by a Japanese Shishi lion for good luck, and partake of ozoni mochi soup.

Volunteer opportunites are abundant during this time - anywhere from kitchen help, booth help, traffic control, Priest assistants, etc.

Any amount of time is appreciated. 2018 Dog year Tshirt, meal and beverages provided.
