When a child who suffers from a life-threatening illness is hospitalized for medical treatment, they can spend weeks and sometimes months in the hospital. HUGS makes weekly visits to these children and distributes small gifts for interactive play to help them find cheer and fun during their long stay.
You and your team can help provide these gifts by creating a special toy collection of the following items:
-Brand new, unopened packaged toys and games for ages 1-18 years old
-Please be mindful of size with these items. Often times families have lots to carry out of the hospital so large, bulky items can be hard to add to the bags.
-Activities that will get the kids interacting with others and having FUN is key
