The purpose of this event is to gather as a community to mālama (care for) a site that serves as an outdoor classroom for sustainability. We will learn about the history of this site and the progress that is being made to make it an urban food forest. With volunteer help, the site has come a long way in a short period of time! We will also teach some techniques on tree planting and care so that there may be more mini forests emerging where you live!
We mahalo the Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program of the Department of Land & Natural Resources for supporting this event, and HARC for access to this amazing site!
