Deadline to signup is February 20th.

Waiheʻe Valley on the Windward side of Oʻahu is on Honolulu Board of Water Supply (HBWS) land and has been identified by HBWS as a “potentially high recharge watershed”. KMWP has partnered with HBWS to begin clearing a large site area of invasive and non-native trees and shrubs to replace them with native Hawaiian and Polynesian-introduced plants. The goal is to implement a Riparian Learning Center for nearby schools and communities to utilize, learn from, and give service to.

What to Expect:
We will use hand-held cutting tools to manually remove invasive species, as well as spread mulch and outplant native Hawaiian and Polynesian-introduced plants to the site. The work area is mostly forested with some exposed areas and a nearby stream. Please be prepared to get dirty on this trip!
