Who We Are

Action Line’s mission is to empower consumers by giving them a voice larger than their own. This is accomplished by volunteers who are trained to assist consumers through mediation and education in order to resolve problems with businesses, government agencies and other organizations. Additionally, through our media partner, KHON2, we inform the community-at-large of consumer issues. Our services are free, confidential, and are available to all individuals and small businesses.

What We Do

Action Line is a consumer mediation and information service designed to assist callers throughout the state in solving a wide variety of problems they have encountered. We are part of the Call For Action national network of consumer hotlines. Launched in 1987, Action Line has been providing assistance to consumers in Hawaii for almost 30 years, saving them millions of dollars since our inception. Dedicated volunteers take calls and handle online complaints from the public, providing guidance designed to assist consumers in resolving their complaints. Periodically, Action Line’s media partner, KHON2, will air stories based upon incoming calls.
