Who We Are
The Y supports and empowers people and communities to learn, grow and thrive. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y nurtures the potential of every youth and teen, improves our State's health and well-being and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
The Y is, and always will be, dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. Every day our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good.
What We Do
The YMCA of Honolulu is one of the largest non-profit organizations in the state and was founded in 1869. It's a fellowship dedicated to putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our programs and services are open to children, teens, women and men of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. In everything we do the Y promotes our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and our services center around three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
