What We Do
United Self-Help: Our non-profit 501c3 began in 1984. We are people who have experienced mental illness (depression , anxiety, schizophrenia, Bipolar) helping others through education and support. We operate support groups (self-help), do peer mentoring, give talks on mental health on how to cope with life, to overcome stigma, operate a warm line, and coach people with mental illness on how to get better. Our agency has also won a prison outreach grant. Where we teach BRIDGES education to prisoners with mental illness and be peer mentors to them in a re-entry program. If you would like to volunteer with us please don't hesitate to give us a call.
