Who We Are

The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii provides legal services, including counsel and advice, brief services, and representation in meritorious cases that fit within program priorities. Legal Aid provides services in the areas of consumer, housing, family, public benefits and immigration law.

What We Do

The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is a public interest, nonprofit law firm dedicated to achieving fairness and justice for Hawaii's people through legal advocacy, outreach and education for those in need.

Established in 1950, Legal Aid has ten offices statewide, and over 100 staff members  all dedicated to achieving Legal Aid’s vision of “Building a Just Society.” Legal Aid responds to inquiries from approximately 20,000 individuals each year, and an estimated annual total 9,500 of those individuals receive legal services ranging from advice and counsel to full representation.
