Who We Are

Aloha, Project Hawai'i, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that runs 100% by volunteers to enhance the lives of homeless children. Our agency is solely supported by public donation which allows the community members and local companies to make a difference in the programs over all success. Because we are run by volunteers, your donation and time truly goes further and makes a life changing impact on our homeless children's lives.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of homeless children through interactive solutions that help them escape their cycle of poverty. Working with children of all ages, helping them to build self-esteem and learn the proper life skills to be able to change their future is something we strive to acheive.

Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to accomplish all the needs of these precious children. We would love to include you in the solution!

What We Do

Our program provides homeless, poverty stricken and abused children year round with food, clothing, life necessities, personal hygiene kits, back to school supplies, emergency services, etc. In addition, our program sponsors 1000's of children during the holidays with gifts, clothing, and parties with Santa and the Easter Bunny. In  2004 we provided Christmas gifts to over 1,000 keiki on the Big Island and over 300 on Oahu. As we have expanded our reading and tutoring program, in 2005 RIF (reading is fundamental)choose our agency to implement a pilot project called Club RIF, which allows teens to mentor a younger child with reading based activities. In 2006 we have expanded that to include a 9 week summer camp, where teens from all over the US will be mentoring our homeless keiki with all sorts of activities and educational programs.  In 2010 we brought that educational program to O'ahu to provide services for 24 children annually. 2016 will be our 10th anniversary for our award-winning summer program.

All our programs are offered free to our clients, all our staff is on a volunteer basis, which allows 100% of all the donations help the homeless. As well, our agency is fully supported by public donations, and a few community grants. We form partnerships with other agencies and companies to assure that all our keiki are well provided for. some of our partnerships include Starbucks Foundation, Young Bros. Tug & Barge, NFL Charities & Hawai'i Sherton Bowl, Sunlights in Kona, and Kandi's Drive Inn in Hilo, Neiman Marcus at Ala Moana, Erin with Centry 21, Germain's Lu'au, Hilo Rotary, Hard Rock Cafe, Anytime Fitness in Kapolei, various school and church groups are also strong volunteer supporters.
