Needs From: Aloha United Way

We work with dozens of new and aspiring entrepreneurs who are launching small businesses across Hawai'i. Most of the entrepreneurs we support are running their own food trucks, making their famous family cookie recipe and selling at local farmer's markets, or building the next brand of Hawai'i grown hot sauce. We work with entrepreneurs from the farm to the table and help teach them the 101 of building a viable business. 

As tax season rolls around, we want to help ensure our businesses know how to file their business taxes. We're seeking a trainer to do 2 session, each 2 hours training on the "basics" of business taxes to groups of our entrepreneurs. This wouldn't involve any one-on-one tax advising, just a general course so our clients know what questions to ask, what they should be doing, and can proactively plan to file their 2021 taxes. 

Times and schedules can be flexible to your needs, and we can accommodate virtual or in-person trainings. 

We are seeking a volunteer photographer & photo editor to help capture high-quality photos for our clients to use on their social media, website, and in marketing materials as they work to improve their marketability and sales. 

The majority of our clients are small business owners working across the food-to-table continuum -- farmers, food truck owners, aspiring chefs & bakers, caterers, or folks selling at the vibrant local markets. As they launch their businesses and online presence, they need high quality photos to showcase their work, tell their story, and support their business growth. 

We need volunteers to come to the PGC facilities or farms and do 3 hours worth of photo shoots, followed by 2 hours of editing (estimated) to help capture these photos. Proper crediting can be arranged with our clients!
