Kupu's quarterly community work day, Lau Kupu, will be held this upcoming April 19th from 9-11:30 am at Kahuku Beach Park. Volunteers are invited to come out and help clean Kahuku's shorelines, which have more marine debris than other beach on Oahu! Following the work-day, volunteers will be provided with a free lunch and concert at Kualoa Ranch.
Parking for this event will be at Kahuku High School. Beach Access is directly across from the high school. For directions and more information, please go http://kupuhawaii.org/laukupu/.
For this event, Kupu and the Surfrider Foundation will be joining forces to support Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii with their Earthday Cleanup: Mauka to Makai event. On April 19th, hundreds of volunteers will be cleaning and restoring beaches, lo’i and other landscapes from Kaneohe to Kahuku, in an effort to perpetuate a healthy connected system of watersheds and oceans!
