Aloha,
Project Hawai'i is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers. Our teen mentoring program allows teens to make a difference in their own lives while changing the lives of the homeless children here on the islands.
Our program provides teens with the opportunity to work hands on with homeless children and travel the islands wonders. Teens will earn 120 hours of community service and teen mentoring workshop certificates. Teens will also be introduced to the Hawaiian culture by learning the art of Hula, and making their own ti leaf skirts then present an authentic graduation lu'au for their camp buddies.
On our scholarship program we have two openings for teens to participate. One for a Teen on O'ahu and one on Big Island. O'ahu dates are July 2nd to July 13th. Big Island dates are July 13th to July 25th.
There are so many details to fill in for this program, so if you are interested, please email for the dates and details.
This scholarship program provides for 75% off the tuition costs.
We enroll teens that have a 3.2 gpa or higher and we require recommendation letters as well. Again there is a process, so please email for all the details. Furthermore...teens who wish to have this opportunity need to show financial need.
