Aloha Big Island!!
Project Hawai'i, Inc. is a nonprofit organization is run 100% by volunteers and solely supported by public donations. What does that mean? It means we have NO REGULAR income, grants, funding to assure our program is success for the homeless children. Being run 100% by volunteers means there is NO ONE getting paid!! 100% of your efforts and donations directly benefit the homeless children in OUR COMMUNITY!!
So, want to make a difference for our homeless children living in poverty? We will be feeding OVER 350 homeless children a hot and nutritious holiday meal!!! You can make that possible. Many people are not aware of the crisis our state faces when it comes to homelessness among children. Our state is #1 in the NATION!!! for having the most homeless children. While the nation has 1 in 30 school aged children facing homelessness, our state actually has an average age of homelessness not even old enough to go to school. With 23,000 homeless children in our state, and 77% of our children living in or below the poverty level, WE NEED TO STAND UP and help our own community.
We will be at the First Hawaiian Bank at the Prince Kuhio Plaza (near Macy's). for 3 hours on Saturday Nov. 21st. Volunteers will be holding awareness signs and fishnets to collect donations in the intesection area facing the mall.
YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE in just a few hours
