Volunteer Opportunity: Represent Project Hawai’i, Inc. at the Giving Machines!
Project Hawai’i, Inc. is honored to be one of six charities featured in this year’s Giving Machines—located at both Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo and Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa!
We’re seeking friendly volunteers to represent our nonprofit and share our mission of helping homeless keiki this holiday season. Volunteers will assist donors, share information about how to sponsor a child, and help spread awareness of our programs.
Duties include:
- Greeting shoppers and introducing Project Hawai’i, Inc. as one of the featured charities.
- Explaining the Giving Machine options (such as a $5 box of bandages or a sleeping bag for a child).
- Refilling cards and wiping down the machine as needed (instructions provided).
- Most importantly, being the voice and heart of our keiki to inspire sponsorships!
Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older.
- Dress in aloha or business casual attire (no tank tops, shorts, or slippahs).
- Arrive a few minutes early to relieve the previous shift.
- You may bring a friend—just sign up together!
Shift Details:
- Shifts are 2–3 hours during mall hours.
- Locations:
- Prince Kuhio Plaza – Hilo
- Queens’ Marketplace – Waikoloa
This is a wonderful way to make a difference and help homeless keiki feel the magic of the holidays.
