Volunteer: Heritage Hands Needed!The Sugar Museum is looking for friendly people to greet visitors and help in our gift shop for a couple of hours a week. We welcome students and Scouts who need service hours. Duties at the front desk and gift shop involve checking in visitors, ringing up sales, stocking shelves, pricing merchandise, and "busy work" when needed, such as folding brochures or keeping the lobby neat and tidy. The Sugar Museum needs a stitching squad to make lots of empty beanbag shells for its ongoing Education Program. The beanbags are a very important part of hands on, interactive student learning during field trips. This is a great activity for groups, students, Scouts, clubs, visitors, and families. We're looking for volunteers to assist with light gardening and yard maintenance. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just enjoy being outside, we'd love your help in maintaining this historic Maui landmark. What You'll Do: · Rake, sweep, and tidy outdoor areas · Prune plants, palms and shrubs · Water select plants · General grounds upkeep When: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Choose the days and hours that work for you!) What We Provide: All tools and supplies. Wear closed toed shoes and dress for outdoor work. What to Bring: · Refillable water bottle · Your favorite music or podcast to enjoy while you work!
