Volunteer: Exclusive Group Volunteer Service Project

Set up a Group Volunteer Project
at Waimea Valley You're invited to bring your club, team, business or organization for a fun filled day of giving back!

This is an opportunity to set up an exclusive, group volunteer project in Waimea Valley. Your team will get the chance to help us care for this beautiful valley and learn while you work. If you are part of a group or organization looking for community service hours or looking for a way to make a positive impact in the world, we will work with you to set up a fun and productive day.

Projects take place in Waimea Valley. Tasks may include weeding, clearing debris, invasive species removal, cleanup in garden beds, and cultural site maintenance.

The available dates to set up an event are dependent on the Volunteer Coordinator's schedule. Weekends usually book up 2-3 months in advance. Weekday workdays are much more readily available, but a two-week lead time is preferred.

Groups under 10 people have the option of joining us on any of our community volunteer events - 'Ohana Volunteer Day, Malama Mala workdays, and Hanai 'Aina forest conservation workdays. RSVP for these events on our website, https://www.waimeavalley.net/volunteer, or by contacting the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@waimeavalley.net.

Volunteer groups play an essential role in caring for our botanical gardens, protecting the habitat of rare and endangered species, and tending to the cultural sites in the Valley. As an added thank you to the volunteers for their contributions, they receive complimentary entry to they valley the day they volunteer.

When contacting the volunteer coordinator to set up an event, some important information will be:

Name of the group or organization you represent. Approximately how many people you expect would attend (ballpark estimates are fine)? Dates you are interested in

We look forward to welcoming your group to the Valley and facilitating an educational and enjoyable service project.
