The Mediation Center of the Pacific (MCP) is holding its annual fundraiser, "2023 Under the Mediation Moon: Shining a Light on the Kosasa Family", on May 6, 2023. In addition to the one-night annual dinner event, there will be a weeklong silent auction held online. You can look through the items and activities available to bid on and submit your bid at http://2023moon.givesmart.com/ starting on April 29.
The proceeds from the auction will provide the needed funding to meet the ever-growing requests for services. Over the past year, MCP served more than 15,000 people, particularly in the domestic, family, and landlord-tenant areas. Guided by its mission of providing high quality mediation and dispute resolution services that are affordable and accessible, MCP helped separating couples negotiate property division and parenting plans that best support their children, landlords and tenants work out plans that allow tenants to stay in housing and support the landlords at the same time, and families with elder members discuss plans that will balance the elder's needs for independence and care as well as the needs of the caregiver.
