Who We Are
Mālama Learning Center (MLC) is a non-profit organization that aims to bring art, science, conservation, and culture together through education in order to promote sustainable living throughout Hawai‘i. We work to inspire communities in West O'ahu to mālama 'āina (care for the land and sea) through active engagement and education.
Mission: To teach and inspire communities to create healthy living environments.
What We Do
MLC offers a variety of education programs for students, teachers, and the community that include site restoration workdays, in-class presentations, teacher professional development (PD) workshops, student intersession programs, internships, and community outreach. Our programs emphasize hands-on, place-based education that have real-world applications all relating to the importance of protecting the natural and cultural resources of Hawai'i.
